Moving to Vancouver? A Guide to My Relocation Service

Blog by Tam Barclay | August 10th, 2026

Welcome to Vancouver!

Moving to a new city is exciting, but it can also feel overwhelming. Even if you already live locally, finding a new home in Vancouver can be challenging.
Where should you look? Which neighbourhood is right for you? Who can you trust to guide you — and who will actually call you back?
Having someone by your side who truly knows the area and understands the relocation process can make all the difference. A move often represents a significant change in your life, career and family. The right guidance can take away much of the stress, help you make confident decisions and, importantly, save you time and money along the way. I understand the experience personally. I moved from the UK to Vancouver 17 years ago, and now, as a mum of three, I know what it feels like to arrive somewhere new, build a life and find the community that feels like home.
Over the years, I have helped many individuals and families navigate their own moves to and within Vancouver. Through that experience, I have developed a relocation process that is personal, efficient and tailored to each client. I take the time to understand not only what you need from a home, but how you want to live — your lifestyle, commute, schools, community, priorities and budget all matter.
This short guide will give you an idea of what working with me looks like. From understanding your criteria and identifying the right neighbourhoods, to sourcing the best available properties, arranging viewings and helping you secure the right home, I am there to guide you throughout the process.
My goal is simple:
To make your move to Vancouver easier, less stressful and, most importantly, help you feel at home from the moment you arrive.
